NinetyNine began as an iOS game by Sven Fritsch and Florian Pichler. Now it runs in any browser — and for the first time, you can play it against your friends.
A ten-second number game
Get to exactly 99.
One number, four tiles, ten seconds. Tap a tile to take its value off the number and land on 99 — not 98, not 100. Go below, or let the clock run out, and it’s game over.
Free Works offline Touch, keyboard & controller
Learn it in one round. Chase it for years.
Every round deals a new number between 100 and 599. The 1 and the 10 are always there; the other two tiles change every time.
Tap to subtract
Each tile takes its value off the big number. Pick the right mix of big jumps and small steps.
Land on 99
Exactly 99 wins the round. One press too many and you’re below it — that’s the end of the game.
Beat the stripes
Ten seconds, ten stripes. The faster you solve and the fewer presses you need, the more points you take.
Pro move: hold a tile until it fills up to use its alternative mode — add instead of subtract, or reroll the medium and big tiles. Turn them on in Settings.
Scoring
Every point, written out like a sum.
After each round the game shows its working. The base rewards a high start number — a tenth of its way down to 99 — and 20 for every second left. The multiplier grows with your last five presses — finish on the blue tile for a tenth of its value or on the green one for twice that, and every press you didn’t need adds 3.
Here: 252 with tiles 1, 10, 44 and 99. Three presses — 10, 44, 99 — with six seconds to spare.

Same number. Same tiles. Who’s first?
Everyone gets the identical round. Reach 99 first and you keep all your points; second place gets a quarter, third a tenth. Miss, and you sit the round out — but you stay in the match.
